By 1) Using Boolean operators we gain an access to a wide range of results. When you use only one keyword while searching the results will more or less revolve around that keyword only. But when you club the 2 or more keywords with the help of Boolean operators we can see a difference in the perspective of search results. The problem with Boolean model is ranking and bossy users find it hard.
2) 2) Using Jaccard Similarity method where we can compute similarity in documents. It can be calculated by ratio of min/max value. But the only problem with it is that the results kind of gets affected by the size.
